Blooming shoulder pads

A week and no posting! I've an exhibition coming up in June so I'm tring to do several things at once - finish a wall hanging, work on a catalog, and chase photos to set up a gallery page. I hope it will work the way I am thinking...

The wall hanging has flowers made from recycled shoulder pads. I have used them in a couple of other works. I think there will be one more to go with this one and that will be the end, despite many offers to provide me with more. I'm not sure what is in some of them but I end up with sore fingers if hand stitching, or broken needles when machine stitching.

Pictured is part of a journal cover I have just finished for a gift - with couching and applique.
I'll post a picture of the wall hanging when it is finished.

Bird dance on the beach

Making some progress with the blog, and trying to get a wall hanging done - more of that later.

Went for a walk on the beach this morning as I often do, but this time noticed so many foot prints from the gulls. It reminded me of dance step patterns!

A beginning

Welcome to my blog. I'd like to share some of my quilts, collecting adventures, pictures and happenings.

This is all new to me so at this stage I am finding my way...

I thought a great way to start a new venture would be with a photo of a sunrise. I took this some time back while on a houseboat on the River Murray
